Charlie Swanson on Making Surprise First Olympic Team: “I don’t really know what to feel yet” | SwimSwam

2024 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS

On night 2 of the 2024 Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, Charlie Swanson surprised many by touching 2nd in the 100 breast and qualifying for his first Olympic team. Swanson is an NCAA All-American for Michigan who graduated in 2020 and specialized in the 400 IM during his time as a Wolverine. In his post-graduate career, however, he’s focused on the shorter breaststroke events, 100 and 200, which paid off for him in a big way this week.
