Pentair Mastertemp 300

First season maintaining my pool myself. Main issue: will not ignite/fire.

Running a Pentair Mastertemp 300.

Opened the pool and started up the heater.
The blower went on but never fired. And a very funky smell from the exhaust! Equal to the funky smell from the entire insides once the cover was removed

No error codes just the red service light.

Opened up the unit and found a massive mouse nest on the heater and baby mice inside the heater box.

Cleaned everything up and same result...

Need to replace SWCG

I've had the product you posted, the Aqua-rite for several years. I'm here searching, and looking forward in hearing what others say as my Aqua-rite has been repaired (by me) multiple times and really needs to be replaced. I was wondering if since it's initial install (2008) if it's still considered the best out there. My pool is 18K, and I have the 40K system.

This weekend I broke ground for the new Intex 32ft X 16ft X 52in Ultra XTR Frame Pool Set that is boxed up on a pallet in my garage. Newly refinished Diamond Brite pool and spa - start-up questions

My 22 year old pool was just resurfaced for the second time (did it last in 2011). My PB applied bond-kote two weeks ago and finished with application of Midnight Blue Diamond Brite yesterday in both the pool and spa. High phosphate & combined chlorine after pool opening

Hi TBF,

Looking for some advice for a new home-owner on my first pool opening (performed by pool manufacturer staff).
At pool opening, a leak on the pump a leak was found, and system was off for 5 days until the repair took place. 5 bags of shock were added at pool opening.

Rectangle fiberglass pool wall bowed outward

Had a rectangular Latham fiberglass pool installed using cleaned and crushed stone to backfill. Pool water was put in as backfill was added. Walls were straight and everything looked good right after install. We just had 3 straight days of rain here outside Philly and there was a lot of settling around the pool. Imagine Illusion 40 Complete 10/19/20

I have someone coming out on the 9th to give me an estimate on an inground pool. I already told him I want a large DE filter, 2 speed pump, 2" pipes and a SWG. Rock in skimmer line

I've googled this and found a couple posts similar to this issue but was unclear about the resolution. I have a rock in the line under my skimmer. I tried a drain king from my pump inlet but it's too far away to get any pressure. I tried fishing it out with a coat hangar to no avail. East touch no comm

I have went through all the steps for readdressing the wireless connection but the remote continues to say remote lock searching. The lights on the circuit board are on. The power is red and 485 link is flashing red. I shut off the power at the breaker box but not the house breaker box. Just trying to figure if the antenna is bad or what needs done.

Creating a heater bypass

I have separate plumbing for my pool and spa, each with its own heater and its own SWG. I recently had my pools and spa resurfaced with fresh Diamond Brite, and the contractor did an extremely low pH acid wash which he wanted me to leave for three days. Ignoring the pros and cons of my situation, in a pinch I re-spliced my plumbing to exclude the heaters and SWGs while the water was very acidic. But next week I will want to repair my system. Not enough water on spa jets

Hello ,
I posted in the past but Im thinking of solution to my situation
I want to fix the spa water pressure through the jets.

Last year I ran 2" pipe for the blower and 2" pipe for the returns , didn't changed too much but it helps.

I want to cut the concrete 4x4 just to access the main drain connection under the slad and run a new 3" line outside of the slab (not under it)

Hi all - So I have recently had about 2500-2600 gallons added to my pool. It's a 33K gallon in ground vinyl liner. I had a leak around the skimmer which dropped the water about 5-6 inches... I had tested before the added water using my Taylor kits. Here are my results (I know it is off, and I have a good amount of balancing. Prior to the leak I had just had the liner replaced, so it was a full refill...)

Pentair IC40 plumbing question

Hello,

I just installed this unit and have yet to turn the system on. While installing I got a bit of cement on the smooth surface that the rubber o-ring will seal. I ended up using a bit of primer to take it off best I could. After reading that primer chemically cleans this surface I am a bit nervous I compromised the integrity of that area.

Can anyone with plumbing knowledge comment?

Replace leaking aqua genie skimmer in steel walled pool.

After 15 years noticed significant leak, possibly from skimmer(s). How do I Replace leaking aqua genie skimmer in steel walled pool. Can it be removed from inside pool or outside pool (with digging)

Pump inlet minimum straight length.

I know pool code and manufactures recommended minimum pipe length going into pump inlet , but not sure if that is undisturbed length or can include check valves like I have in picture below. 2” pipe, so should there be 8” of straight run after the check valve? They just installed pad today so want to know if I should bring this up.
