So I've searched the web and can't seem to find a solution for my problem, so here I am.
I've only owned a pool for a little over 2 years now (moved into a house that already had one) and ever since I've we've been here there has been a rock sitting on top of the weir so that the water continuously flows, however I've noticed recently (and read even more recently) that the skimmer works better when the weir (or flap as I call it) is free of this rock.
