Centerline Tile

We're remodeling our pool with some new plumbing and pebbletec plaster. We plan to use our pool for some exercise /lap swimming as well and want to put in a subtle centerline tile on the bottom - something like a tile ever X feet, not a full on center line. Does anyone have any examples, photos or ideas?
