Yes, I have read numerous threads in this forum on the subject and yes, the pool supply guy recommended daily "two times" turnover. I'm guessing this is to sell more supplies.
I live in Ocala, FL and have a good sized pool as you can see in the signature block. I also have a screen cage. I do have dwarf orange trees near the pool that occasionally drop leaves in the pool during the Winter. Other than that, no debris except for slight dust & pollen.
