Cya

Hey, so I couldn’t find the Taylor test kit in Canada when I first opened my pool, and so I bought another test kit that doesn’t test for cya. I have strips, which I hate, and I it seemed like my cya was all Gone after having added it a month ago and it being at the right level. I just found the Taylor test kit and will be testing my CYA but I have to wait for it to arrive first. My question is can I save my CYA that is sitting in a bucket of water until then?
