Pool within a Pool, Does anyone have experience with this approach to a cement pool

Hi. Our pool has unrepairable cracks. We like the idea of a smaller pool within a pool instead of a complete redo.
Does anyone have experience with this type of construction?
Are there engineering plans available for a rectangular pool ? Thank you !
