Pool math app causing us to over chlorinate our pools?

Is pool math app too aggressive on the FC levels? With a lower CYA value Pool math still calls for 2 to 5 ppm while this jug of liquid bleach states to keep CL around 1-1.5
Don’t get me wrong, I love my algae free pool, but is the CL too much?
