I have a project in process. I have 1500 sqft of painted pool deck, paint in good condition. My contractor is dry laying the travertine on the cool deck. Most of the travertine is placed, but nothing but the coping is affixed. There are expansion joints in the current cool deck. Where the travertine crosses across the expansion joint, the travertine rocks underfoot.
Contractor says he will use polymeric sand to stop that issue. In my mind, I wonder why you would lay out...
