Hello from Anaheim, CA

From early childhood through College I was constantly around pools, but managed to escape all need to perform maintenance or deal with chemistry. Now having purchased a home with a pool, the depth of my ignorance has been uncovered. My wife, with a degree in chemistry and for who this would be child's play, has refused to help. Instead reminding me that when house hunting I swore I'd take care of it like a kid asking for a puppy.
