Hi hot tubs for 35 years. Sometimes lazy.

Post covid-19, I'm not as careful, about anything. I've had spas since 1980. Recently spa with UV, mineral stick in filter, tiny, 200 gallon. Float with chlorine cube. Daily pH goes down. I feed bicarb. Water feels clean. Looks clean.
Question any experience with safe operation with shirttail control?
I ain't skeered. But maybe?

Any insight?
